What Tanya is (short summary)

Tanya is an open-source, self-hosted multi-agent AI assistant written in TypeScript. It ships roughly 77 packages including an offline, rule-based anti-hallucination engine, a blackboard-style reasoning cycle with four specialised agents, and a SaaS-ready backend with Stripe billing scaffolding. The alpha is built and maintained by a solo founder.
